Water quality mission

 

Water quality testing 

- workshops at Youth University of Life Sciences

Our school joined a 5-month cooperation project with the University of

Białystok as part of the Youth University of Life Sciences. Once a week

students together with teachers participate in a variety of

activities in university laboratories provided by scientists. 

 

During the meetings students from the Erasmus + project "Young Science Critical Detectives" implementat the mission "The Way of Water in Our Town" in which they investigate in the laboratory water quality of our local Krzna river. 

The youth checked electroconductivity of water, the overall hardness was determined (calcium, magnesium content and bicarbonates), the amount and concentration of oxygen in the water were checked. The students found this missiona as a very creative and interesting.
